La CGT FERC Sup a pris connaissance de l’appel du syndicat des enseignants et des employés de l’université de Birzeit (Ramallah, Palestine) du 6 février 2025 (voir ci-dessous). La CGT FERC Sup affirme avec ce syndicat : « la Palestine n’est pas à vendre » et « Gaza n’est pas un projet immobilier ».
La CGT FERC Sup condamne avec force non seulement la politique génocidaire du gouvernement Netanyahou, mais aussi le soutien apporté par les gouvernements Biden et Trump. Dès son élection, Trump a singulièrement aggravé la situation : notamment la sanction par Trump de la Cour pénale internationale (CPI) qui a délivré, le 21 novembre 2024, un mandat d’arrêt pour crimes contre l’humanité et crimes de guerre contre Nétanyahou. Également, la décision états-unienne le 7 février 2025 de livrer à nouveau pour 7,4 Mds $ d’armes à Israël. Et évidemment, les annonces de Trump d’opérer un nettoyage ethnique à Gaza pour transformer Gaza en « Riviera ».
Nous dénonçons également la mollesse, voire la duplicité, des gouvernements Macron qui soutiennent Israël dans sa politique en dépit même du droit international. Les gouvernements Macron et un bon nombre de présidents d’universités ont également restreint de fait la liberté de réunion et les libertés académiques pour ce qui concerne la Palestine, et cherché constamment à empêcher la mobilisation, notamment étudiante. Nous exigeons que le Président Macron reconnaisse enfin l’État de Palestine, à l’instar de 145 états sur 193 à l’ONU, et de 9 membres de l’UE.
La CGT FERC Sup a dénoncé sans cesse les massacres de grande ampleur à Gaza, ainsi que les violences décuplées en Cisjordanie. Elle a réclamé inlassablement le cessez-le-feu à Gaza. La CGT FERC Sup participe également à la campagne BDS (Boycott Désinvestissements Sanctions) des produits israéliens, afin de lutter contre la politique de colonisation et d’apartheid d’Israël.

CGT FERC Sup, the Union of employees of the universities of France, has taken note of the appeal by the Union of Teachers and Employees of the University of Birzeit (Ramallah, Palestine) of 6 February 2025. CGT FERC Sup affirms with this union : « Palestine is not for sale » and « Gaza is not a real estate project ».
CGT FERC Sup strongly condemns not only the Netanyahu’s government genocidal policy, but also the support given by the governments Biden and Trump. As soon as he was elected, Trump singularly worsened the situation : in particular, Trump’s sanction of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which had issued an arrest warrant for crimes against humanity and war crimes against Netanyahu on 21 November 2024. Also, the US decision on 7 February 2025 to deliver another $7.4 billion worth of arms to Israel. And, of course, Trump’s announcements of ethnic cleansing in Gaza to turn it into ‘Riviera’.
We also denounce the softness, even duplicity, of the Macron governments, which support Israel’s policies despite international law. Macron governments and several university presidents have also effectively restricted freedom of assembly and academic freedom with regard to Palestine, and have constantly sought to prevent protests, in particular student mobilisation. We demand that President Macron recognise the State of Palestine, as have 145 of the 193 UN member states and 9 EU members.
CGT FERC Sup has repeatedly denounced the large-scale massacres in Palestine, as well as the violence in the West Bank. It tirelessly called for a ceasefire in Gaza. CGT FERC Sup is also taking part in the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement to combat Israel policy of colonisation and apartheid.
